Gathering hundreds of aspiring creators, visual storytellers, and industry professionals at Foro de Intramuros, Sony Philippines hosted Alpha Fest 2026—a dynamic celebration of creativity featuring expert talks, hands-on workshops, and interactive tech showcases. Among those covering the event was Orange Magazine PH, highlighting Sony’s latest milestones in empowering the local creative community.
The festival was officially opened by Sony Philippines President and Managing Director Shuhei Sugihara and Marketing Director Kentaro Imamura, who unveiled the brand’s newest lineup of imaging powerhouses: the Alpha 7R VI, FE 100-400mm F4.5 GM OSS, RX10 V, and the highly anticipated FX5.
Cutting-Edge Gear Takes Center Stage
At the heart of the event was the showcase of Sony’s latest gear designed to cater to modern visual workflows:
-
Sony RX10 V: This fifth-generation super-zoom camera boasts a versatile 24-600mm ZEISS® Vario-Sonnar T lens, AI-powered Real-time Recognition AF, blackout-free 30 fps continuous shooting, and 4K 120p video—making it the ultimate all-in-one setup for travel, sports, and wildlife.
-
Sony FX5: The newest addition to the Cinema Line brings high-end production features to a compact body. Powered by a full-frame stacked Exmor RS™ CMOS sensor and the BIONZ XR™ processor, the FX5 offers Open Gate recording, internal 16-bit X-OCN, and up to 4K 240p capabilities.
