Okada Manila Opens Curry Corner, Bringing Authentic Indian Flavors to Its Dining Collection

Okada Manila, the Philippines’ largest Forbes 5-Star integrated resort for seven consecutive years, introduces Curry Corner, a dining concept centered on the rich traditions of Indian cuisine. From aromatic curries to regional specialties, the new outlet highlights India’s culinary heritage, complemented by select Pan-Asian favorites.

Located at The Food Court on the Upper Ground Floor of the Casino Coral Wing, Curry Corner brings Indian flavors within easy reach of the gaming floor. Open daily from 11 AM to 5 AM, it serves lunch, dinner, late-night meals, and hearty breaks between rounds of play.

At the helm is Chef de Cuisine Surjeet Singh, who leads both Curry Corner and the Indian offerings at Medley Buffet. An Indian Specialist Chef with more than 20 years of experience across 5-star hotels in Asia, Chef Surjeet brings extensive knowledge of regional Indian cooking, traditional spice work, and time-honored recipes.

“Through Curry Corner, we want to enrich the culinary experiences at Okada Manila with the warmth, depth, and authenticity of Indian cuisine,” said Chef Surjeet Singh. “Each dish is guided by traditional techniques, balanced spices, and the regional flavors that make Indian cooking so beloved.”

Beyond its bold flavors, curry carries a sense of comfort shaped by generations of home kitchens, regional recipes, and shared meals. At Curry Corner, that spirit is served in generous, freshly prepared plates made for guests craving something warm, hearty, and deeply satisfying.

Indian curry sets are served in a dabba, a traditional Indian tiered lunch carrier, accompanied by pappadum, a crisp lentil wafer, and a choice of roti canai, steamed jasmine rice, or saffron basmati rice. Signature selections include Murgh Makhani, featuring chicken simmered in a tomato-butter curry, and Ghosht Vindaloo, lamb cooked in tangy red chili gravy.

Complementing the Indian menu are Pan-Asian curry dishes such as Thai-style vegetable green curry and Malaysian chicken curry, both served with steamed jasmine rice.
