Lucky Chinatown celebrates the Mid-Autumn Festival with the whole Filipino-Chinese community as it unveils the giant art installation of the Moon Goddess Chang’e. The festival will run until September 22, offering an immersive experience to mall-goers through various events, fairs, and traditional games.
The towering figure of Chang’e is adorned in a stunning dress featuring the colors of the Philippine flag, symbolizing a deep connection to the local community. She is surrounded by 100 illuminated bunny decorations, representing the Moon Rabbit, a beloved companion of Chang’e in Chinese folklore. In addition to its lunar association, the rabbit in Chinese culture is a symbol of longevity, fertility, and good fortune.
To mark this significant celebration, Lucky Chinatown is hosting a variety of engaging activities for all revelers. Enjoy shopping for enchanting charms, mooncakes, and other traditional items until September 20 in Moonlit Fair. Visit the Two Worlds, One Heart photo gallery filled with inspiring stories of Filipino-Chinese icons and achievers, available for viewing until September 20. On September 21, don’t miss the exciting mooncake culinary competition showcasing top-notch pastry creations in Mooncake Masters. Complete the festival experience in Moonshine Dice, a community dice game where you can win fantastic prizes, on September 22.
