The Finalists of the Philippine Rice Bowl start-up awards are officially revealed today. The inaugural Philippine Rice Bowl Start-up Awards will take place at the A SPACE Gallery in Makati City on July 15, 2016

This is part of an international awards program to celebrate entrepreneurship that will culminate at an ASEAN awards ceremony in Manila this September, and a Global awards gala this November in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Founder of A SPACE Philippines, Matthew Morrison shares, “The Philippines’ start-up eco system continues to expand and gain global recognition, and A SPACE is honored to celebrate the good work in partnerhsip with the Rice Bowl Awards. Giving Filipino start-ups the opportunity to win the National Awards in July, progress to the Regional finals in September – also being held in the Philippines – and then potentially go on to success at the Global Awards in Kuala Lumpur, in November – that’s just one big happy WOW Philippines!”

On June 15, 2016 at A SPACE Greenbelt, the nominations for the Philippine Rice Bowl Start-up Awards – under categories such as Journalist of the Year, Founder of the Year, Startup of the Year were vetted and shortlisted by national ambassadors from sectors such as advertising, investment, technology and the arts.

The shortlisted nominations then went through a final judging round held later that same day at the A SPACE Greenbelt ROCKSTAR Room. Winners will be announced at the Awards night ceremony on July 15th, taking place at the A SPACE Greenbelt Gallery, 110 Legazpi Street, Makati City.

NB. Judges signed declarations to ensure conflict of interests were made known and votes were not tallied when such a conflict, or potential conflict, manifested.
