Manila Water Foundation, the corporate social responsibility arm of the Manila Water group for areas within Metro Manila and beyond, receives Php 15,000.00 worth of book certificate from its newest partner, Philippine Book Fairs Education, Inc. (PBFEI). The said amount will be used to support the Foundation’s programs geared towards water, used water and environmental education.

“In its aim of improving lives through livelihood and education on water and sanitation matters, the Foundation sees the value of organizations like PBFEI that are willing to join us in this quest”, said Ferdinand Dela Cruz, Manila Water Foundation President. “We are looking at different opportunities on how we may soon utilize this partnership to its fullest”, he adds.

PBFEI, the sole distributor of Scholastic Book Fairs and Scholastic Education products in the Philippines, believes that reading is an important tool in knowledge acquisition. “We encourage the habit of reading to explore and activate dreams, especially to kids”, said Amparo Agosto, Managing Director of PBFEI. “This approach that will complement the Foundation’s water education program is what we would like to bring in to this partnership”, she adds.

PBFEI is among the organizations that participated in the Foundation’s Earth Day celebration through leading a storytelling session for kids and holding a week- long book fair.
