Fil-Am stand-up comedian Rex Navarrete comes back for a summer one-night show only “Rex Navarrete Top Picks” featuring his current top picks at the Newport Performing Arts Theater (NPAT), Resorts World Manila on April 26, 2012.
Rex Navarrete is regularly seen on the national late-night television show “Lopez Tonight” that debuted last year on the TBS Network. He has been a comedian for over 20 years and travels all over North America, touring cities such as Los Angeles, New York, Seattle, Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver and Hawaii doing his one-man show. Rex frequently performs at established stand-up comedy venues such as The Punchline, The Improvs, The Laugh Factory and Gotham Comedy Club NYC.
Filipinos around the world get to experience Rex Navarrete’s own brand of point-of-view comedy online with animated highlights of classic favorites “LBC Packers” and “Maritess and the Superfriends”. He regularly returns to Manila that has become a fertile ground for his brand of comedy inspiring the growth of an emerging local stand-up comedy scene. Last year, he was one of the few acts who have performed to a sold-out show at the Resorts World Manila.
“Rex Navarrete Top Picks” is scheduled on April 26, 2011, 8:30pm at the Newport Performing Arts Theater (NPAT), Resorts World Manila. Mike Unson, top point-of-view comedian and premier magician, Erik Mana are also slated to warm up the crowd as opening acts. This special event is produced by Scribble Works Productions.
