From acting to arts and crafts, gaming sessions, and even dreams of becoming a pastry chef, rising teen star Caprice Cayetano is proving that she’s far from limiting herself to just one passion.
Fresh off her reality show win, the 17-year-old actress is embracing what many Gen Zs call their “sidequest era”—trying new hobbies, discovering hidden talents, and simply enjoying the journey without feeling pressured to have everything figured out.
“Whenever I have free time after work, I explore different sidequests,” Caprice shares. “I make bracelets, play mobile games, and hopefully soon, I’ll start baking pastries.”
For Caprice, every hobby reveals a different side of who she is.
One of her favorite creative outlets is bracelet-making, a skill inspired by her mother, who used to create and sell handmade accessories.
“That’s where I realized how patient I can be,” she says. “You string the beads one by one, and when you finish, there’s a different kind of fulfillment.”
Her love for food, meanwhile, comes from her father.
“I’m really excited to try baking pastries. If Daddy is known for his main dishes, maybe someday I’ll be known for pastries,” she laughs.
Like many teenagers, gaming is also part of her downtime.
“I discovered mobile gaming through my cousins, who are also my best friends. They’re my gaming squad.”
Caprice says exploring different interests has helped her discover more about herself—a mindset she believes many in her generation share.
“I think we Gen Zs enjoy having lots of sidequests because they help us discover new things about ourselves and even the paths we may want to pursue.”
