Why shifting to EVs makes sense

The dream of owning a modern car in the Philippines usually comes with a mental checklist of worries, including fluctuating fuel prices, the inevitable wear and tear from city traffic, and the long-term cost of keeping a vehicle on the road.

For years, “premium” meant expensive upkeep, but the arrival of VinFast and the Green SM (GSM) platform suggests a different path. It is a shift toward a lifestyle that merges aesthetics and practicality in two specific electric vehicles (EVs), the Herio Green and Limo Green, which are designed to handle the nuances of local streets.

The Herio Green serves as the entry point for those who need a sharp, urban commuter that doesn’t feel like a compromise. It carries a sleek, modern silhouette that looks at home in a bustling street or avenue. But the real value is felt once inside.

Inside, the Herio Green’s minimalist interior is anchored by an 8-inch color infotainment touchscreen, creating a futuristic feel that simplifies every drive. The experience of driving an electric vehicle becomes immediately apparent upon tapping the accelerator; The motor allows for a quiet, effortless glide through the city without the lag or vibration of a traditional engine.

Meanwhile, for those who carry more than just a laptop bag, specifically larger families or professionals with heavy cargo needs, the Limo Green offers a seven-seater layout. Its signature LED light bars and flush door handles provide a sleek, aerodynamic profile that turns heads on the highway. Stepping into the cabin feels like entering a modern lounge; the driver-focused interior features premium leather seats and an expansive 15-inch infotainment screen that acts as the vehicle’s command center. For families and professionals alike, the versatility is unmatched, offering up to 1,240 liters of cargo capacity when the seats are folded, more than enough for weekend getaways or significant business deliveries.

Both models were built to withstand the Philippine climate and roads, engineered to remain durable whether they are idling in the summer heat or navigating the unpredictable challenges of the rainy season.

The most immediate change an owner feels, however, is in the wallet. Moving away from traditional fuel engines means the daily expenses simply disappear. Because these vehicles run entirely on electricity, the cost of a daily commute or a weekend errand is cut to a fraction of what it used to be.

To sweeten the transition, VinFast has committed to a free charging program at all authorized V-Green stations until March 31, 2029. It is a rare opportunity for drivers to essentially delete fuel costs from their monthly budget for the next few years, allowing those savings to be used for family milestones or personal investments instead.

The utility of the Limo Green and Herio Green also extends into the professional sphere through the Green SM platform. Rather than just being a personal asset, these vehicles can function as a steady source of income. By joining as a service partner, owners can jumpstart a livelihood without the traditional hurdles of high upfront investments. The platform provides structured training and a competitive revenue-sharing model, making it a viable path for Filipinos looking to secure their financial future while driving the latest in automotive tech.

Choosing a VinFast is a calculated decision for a better ownership experience. With flexible battery subscriptions and comprehensive warranties, the barrier to entering the EV market is lower than ever. As the charging network grows across the provinces, the convenience of going electric is becoming undeniable. It is a step toward a more modern Philippines where technology is used to make life easier and cleaner for everyone.
