Baby Panchi or Punch, the adorable macaque living in Japan’s Ichikawa Zoo, has captured the world’s hearts. After being rejected by his mom at birth, we all watched him forge an emotional bond with IKEA’s DJUNGELSKOG orangutan soft toy, as well as the patient zookeepers.

At IKEA Philippines, we’re not just following Punch’s story. We also want to extend the same comfort and love that the DJUNGELSKOG orangutan gave to Punch.

Introducing Project Panchi Akap Pabalik, an initiative that transforms a simple hug to meaningful impact. For March and April 2026, IKEA Philippines is aiming to donate up to ₱1 million from soft toy sales to support key social and environmental causes. For every soft toy purchased during the campaign period, ₱50 will go toward IKEA’s initiatives in partnership with Better World organization.

The project aims to extend comfort beyond homes and into communities by supporting:

● Welfare of vulnerable children

● Mental well-being initiatives

● Tarsier preservation and animal welfare
