Going into 2022, two of the biggest names in the local hip-hop scene Gloc-9 and Shanti Dope are going to continue to be part of the Universal Records Philippines artist roster.

That’s right, legendary “Makata Sa Pinas” and the young “Rap Phenom” are grateful to ink a new deal with UR. They attended the contract signing ceremony at Universal Records office along with Universal Records Managing Director Kathleen Dy-Go and Artist Managers Thea Pollisco and Lester Vano (DJ Klumcee) just last week.

With this exciting news regarding their renewal of ties, everyone just can’t wait to see what 2022 has to offer for both Gloc-9 and Shanti Dope.

The two rappers have delivered numerous hit songs and won several awards while being under their “home major record label”. Just last April 2021, everyone was astounded when Shanti Dope’s much talked-about 2019 single “Amatz” got featured on Marvel’s ‘The Falcon and the Winter Soldier’.

Likewise, grabbing accolades isn’t new anymore to Gloc-9 and his illustrious 24-year career. He’s now busy paying it forward by helping and nurturing up-and-coming artists to keep the fire of OPM hip-hop burning up to the next generation.

Congratulations, Gloc-9 and Shanti Dope!
